maybe im just projecting but i feel like a big part of being bi is just like………….. having gender forced on you constantly.
of course this technically applies to everyone because we live in a society but i feel like with bisexuality there’s a specific way its done, like, as a punishment for being holier than thou and trying to act like you’re “above” recognizing gender.
like being asked what gender you prefer, looking for patterns in your dating history and sex life, bi women’s attraction to women being treated as a performance to attract men, bi men’s attraction to women being seen as a façade to hide their attraction to men, categorizing us based on the gender of our (current, potential, or completely made up) partners….. it all feels so similar to the times people have gotten mad at me for not modifying my behavior after being told “girls are supposed to do x”or “that’s what boys do”. like there’s some code we’re all supposed to live by and by saying i don’t take it into account im either naïve and don’t understand how the world really works or im consciously abstaining specifically to prove that im better than everyone else

My kitten is still getting comfortable around me but today she came and clearly wanted me to pet her, whilst she layed on my stomach for a bit this morning. I also had a difficult message to send to someone I care a lot about and suddenly when it came to press send my body became dead weight and I couldn’t move properly, when kitty came for cuddles she pressed the send button with her nose if that’s not the universe helping me out I don’t know what is. This her in her usual more playful state and me serenading her 😅😂😍.
I’m just so goddamn mad all the time. Sometimes I get so angry I wanna set the world on fire just to watch it burn.
